Following the success of the re-opening of the Seychelles international airport from June 1 we are so excited to share with you the good news that holidaying in Seychelles is still possible even in Covid-19 times.
With the ongoing vaccination of its population, Seychelles opens up to tourists from all countries effective 14 January 2021, provided incoming visitors are vaccinated against Covid-19 and travel no less than two weeks after their second dose, carry a certificate proving this and have a negative PCR test done 72 hours before travel. No quarantine required.
As of mid-March 2021, when it is expected that all who wish to be vaccinated have done so, herd immunity will have been acquired, the requirement for a certificate of vaccination, for incoming visitors will be dropped. Visitors will however still require proof of proof of a negative PCR test done 72 hrs before travel
Probably you have doubts about whether this is the right time for a long distance journey. Here we would like to show you what the situation in the Seychelles is like and why a trip is worth it right now!
The government and local health authorities are extremely keen to prevent the spread of the pandemic in the Seychelles by taking appropriate measures. These currently include, for example, closing shops, restaurants and consistently keeping a safe distance from other people.
